Dear Esteemed Scholars,
The 6th International Youth Research Congress will be held in Tirana, the capital of Albania, from September 7 to 12, 2025, hosted by the University of Tirana, in collaboration with Mersin University Istanbul Esenyurt University, Balıkesir University, Osmaniye Korkut Ata University, Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University, Kilis University, Batman University, Bingöl University, Istanbul Topkapı University, Trabzon Eurasia University, Ardahan University, Hakkari Üniversity, Samarkand State University, Bayan-Ulgii Mongolian State University of Education, the Turkish Youth Clubs Confederation, the Marmaris Youth Association, and TİKA.
Given that youth are the guarantee of the future of nations, there has been an increasing emphasis in recent years on the challenges they may encounter—especially in their educational lives—and the solutions to those challenges. More interdisciplinary studies focusing on youth-related issues should be prioritized.
The first congress was successfully held in Marmaris in 2016, the second in Fethiye in 2017, the third in Nakhchivan in 2018, and the fourth again in Marmaris in 2019. Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic and devastating earthquakes in our country, the congress had to be paused temporarily. In 2024, the fifth congress was once again successfully held in Marmaris.
Our congress aims to bring together researchers from different countries to present their work and engage in meaningful exchanges in the field of Youth Studies.
We cordially invite academics and researchers conducting original scholarly work on youth in the fields of Social Sciences, Religion, Language, Education, Sociology, Philosophy, Health, Arts, Sports, Politics, Technology, History, and Tourism to contribute to our congress.
Academic Incentive
The official languages of the congress are Turkish, Turkic dialects, and English. Participants may submit up to two (2) papers, but can present only one. Participants from abroad may submit up to three (3) papers.
According to the academic incentive regulations set by the Turkish Higher Education Council (YÖK), in order for an international congress to qualify for academic incentive, more than half of the papers must be from outside Turkey, and there must be participation from at least five countries other than Turkey. Our congress will meet these criteria, with invited scholars from at least five different countries.
Participants may choose to present their work as a poster or an oral presentation. A 40% participation quota has been allocated for applications from Turkey, and all applications from Turkey will be evaluated within this quota. The congress is expected to meet academic incentive and associate professorship requirements.
Papers presented at the congress will be eligible for publication in the Congress Proceedings Book with an ISSN, after being approved by two members of the Scientific Committee (Reviewers).
Based on the author's preference, abstracts, full-texts, or poster presentations that have completed this review process will be published electronically in the ISSN-certified Congress Proceedings Book, or may be submitted as an article to a partner international journal, provided that the journal’s peer-review process is completed and the discounted publication fee for the congress is paid.
